Hubble Space Telescope

The Hubble Space Telescope is a telescope that orbits our earth. The telescope was named after astronomer Edwin Hubble. This telescope is positioned outside the earth’s atmosphere and offers the best ever images of the earth from space.

Unlike the images gathered from the grounded telescopes, the Hubble Space Telescope offers very clear images of the earth and our universe.

It is because of the Hubble Space Telescope that many scientists have been able to crack the mysteries behind the existence of our solar system, stars and galaxies. The Hubble Space technology has done so much for the evolution of the world of science, technology and astronomy. The Hubble Space Telescope remains one of the finest inventions of NASA till date and will always be remembered as one of the great inventions of our times.

The Hubble Space Telescope was finally launched in 1990 after several delays. At first a few flaws were found with the mirror of the telescope. The flaws were corrected by a servicing mission in 1993.

The Hubble Telescope is the only telescope ever to be designed that can be serviced even in space by astronauts. Till today there have been about four servicing missions that have been sent and the fifth and the final service mission will be sent sometime in September of this year.

After its servicing, the telescope was restored to its originally intended quality. The telescope offered extremely clear images form out of space. The world had never seen such clear footage of the earth or universe ever before.

People on this planet have always questioned themselves about their existence, the formation of the earth and whether or not there is life besides this earth. Man s curious by nature and hence is never satisfied with information we already possess, we are always searching for something more. We like mysteries only if we can unveil them.

The Hubble Space Telescope was built with a certain vision; the vision was to study how our universe came in to existence. I am proud to inform you that the main objective of the Hubble Space Telescope was indeed achieved.

Thanks to the clear images sent by the telescope, some of our great minds were able to work together and find out when our universe came in to existence. The Hubble Space Telescope has helped unveil many a mysteries or queries about our universe and has helped our scientist come up with definite answers.
