Wellness for Astronomers
Astronomers have very exciting careers and/or hobbies. If you are an
astronomer you are
likely to be very passionate about everything in space and all that it encompasses. You should be just as
passionate about your health.
A good wellness plan for astronomers who normally spend many hours researching and studying the stars is
essential to promote good health. Those who get very little exercise and do not eat a healthy diet could be prone
to things such as overweight, heart disease, stroke and a number of other illnesses.
Keeping yourself healthy includes a well thought out wellness plan. Your wellness plan should include everything
from eating fresh fruits and vegetables to drinking plenty of water and getting some exercise every day.
Exercise can be as simple as walking for ten to fifteen minutes each day or riding a
bicycle or stationary cycle.
The thing to remember in your wellness plan is that you need to be consuming the adequate amount of calories
which include minerals and vitamins; fiber and protein in order to give your body the energy that it needs to get
you through your day.
You should also be drinking at least six to eight glasses of water each day. Wellness also includes things like
giving up smoking, heavy drinking and having a way of relieving stress. Stress can play a major role in the onset

Having a way to relieve your stress can help you to live a much longer and healthier life.
