Who invented telescope?
Telescopes are widely used to view the objects
that are at a distance and
that are
not easily viewable by human eyes in its naked state. The
telescopes work with the help of the light waves of the
electro magnetic waves and thus help in the brighter view
of images by focusing these light
waves.
There are different categories of telescopes
based on the difference in their working. It will be
better to have a detailed study of the history of
telescopes to know better about these
instruments.
The invention of telescope had a great impact on the stories
and concepts that existed regarding the solar system. There
were lots of misconceptions that prevailed in the earth and
this often leads to conflicts.
There were no concrete
proofs with the people to supplement their ideas and
beliefs. This often resulted in a complete ignorance of
the world outside the earth. It was after the invention
of the telescope that people could get an idea of the
solar system in general.
The invention of telescope owes its credit to
the invention of the lens. This is because without the
lens, the telescope would not have happened. But the
inventor of lens is still a mystery.
It was in using in the olden ages itself for
various purposes. It was Isaac Newton who made a
revolution in the area of construction of the lenses and
this made a trend setting in the manufacturing of the
lenses.
The story of telescopes is interesting and the
actual inventor is confirmed on the basis of these
stories that are really funny and interesting. Hans
Lippershey was a spectacle maker and it was in his shop
that the first kind of telescopes was
discovered.
They were accidently found out by the children who visited
his shop for fun. Thus Lippershey can be considered as the
inventor of telescopes. There were several people coming up
claiming the same invention that they made and wanted the
credit of the invention of telescope along with Lippershey.
But the advanced use of the telescope is an
invention by Galileo. It was he who found out the uses of
telescopes in astronomical areas. He used it to view the
lunar mountains and the satellites of Jupiter and other
elements of the solar system. He tried to arrive at
conclusions regarding the concept of solar system with
the help of the telescopes.
After the initial inventions, there came up
different types and variations for the telescope. This
paved the way for a research completely oriented at
finding newer forms of telescopes. Thus it resulted in
revealing many stories of the solar system also in its
true form. This caused a new set back also in this
area.
Thus the invention of the telescope can be
traced back to the ages where it came the lenses. Though
there can be an ignorance in the knowledge about the
creator of the lenses, the invention credit of the
telescope goes to Galileo.
This is because of his ability that he put in
the existing telescopes to make it useful for a wide
range of uses. This made him to enjoy the credit of
various other inventions with the help of the
telescope.
